MycoWall - Grown from Waste. Designed for the Future.
🌱 A mushroom wall is both a design feature and a functional element made from recycled coffee grounds, where edible mushrooms—such as oyster mushrooms—can grow.
It's ideal for cafés, offices, or community spaces. It brightens up the environment, engages the local community, and gives new life to waste material in the spirit of the circular economy.
In companies it works as
Circular Economy Live Installation
Environmental educational element
ESG activity with measurable impacts
Community element for employees
The process is simple.
Coffee grounds are produced in the company
The sediment will be used as a substrate for growing mushrooms
Oyster mushroom grows
After the cycle is complete, the substrate can be used for compost or soil improver.
This closes a small local material cycle.
Spatial conditions
Mushroom wall needs: temperature: 18–24 °C, indirect light, normal office humidity
Ideal locations: cafes, offices, coworking, receptions, canteens, community spaces
